SEEKING EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE DEMANDS UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA FIRE RACIST TEACHING ASSISTANT IRAMI OSEI-FRAMPONG

(Phoenix, AZ – Feb 2019) Education watchdog Seeking Educational Excellence (SEE) demands the University of Georgia fire a racist teaching assistant.

Earlier in the year, Irami Osei-Frampong, a philosophy graduate student and teacher’s assistant commented on race and equality, posting “Some white people may have to die for black communities to be made whole.”

Osei-Frampong added, “We’re not taught how to fight white people about whiteness,” he said in the video. “We’re taught how to punish black people and treat them like garbage, but we’re not taught how to fight white people.” He continued: “fighting white people is a skill.”

Executive Director of SEE, Kevin Jackson commented that incendiary comments like this have no place in education.

“This comment is racist and divisive. Blacks matriculate quite well at the University of Georgia. What students don’t need is race-baiting idiocy, particularly when it calls for genocide. This type of behavior has gone on far too long in academia.”

SEE has contacted key alumni and benefactors of the University of Georgia, and the organization vows to continue to apply pressure to the university.
